“I AM”

Have you ever asked yourself, “Who am I?”
We often get stuck on that question because we sometimes do not take the time to find out who we are.

Society has always dictated to us that this is who we are! When we take time to re-learn the things that define us through past situation; only then we will discover the real you!

“A man will be satisfied with good from the fruits of his words…”

(Proverbs 12:14 AMP)

The power of “I AM” is at work in your life all day today! These two simple words will determine the life you live. Be aware how your words of the “I Am” are spoken, because you can speak life into the “I AM” which can either bring success or failure.
The principle is: Whatever follows the “I Am” will always come looking for you. For example: If I say, “I am not confident.” Unconfidence comes looking for me. If I say, “I am so old.” Wrinkles will come looking for me. If I say, I will not be successful, sooner or later I will be down the poverty line.

Today do not accept the negative “I AM” by giving the words to have permission to be in your life.

But say:

I AM victorious
I AM calm
I AM the Head and not the tail
I AM at peace with myself today
I AM a Lender and not a borrower
I AM successful in what I do
I AM the Best that I Am

I AM ………

Today take the time to celebrate yourself in your ‘I AM’ day!

The Lens

The eyes of the Lens points to the direction of our hearts as it looks beneath the surface of what is going on inside of us.

The Lens focuses on destiny, new beginnings, new seasons penetrating the very soul of what is required from us to reach that goal.

The Lens sees fear, rejection, past hurt, brokenness and heartache.

Can we achieve the hidden momentum of joy founded through the Eyes of the Lens?

When life gets us down, sometimes it does, and we do not know what direction to take, the lens of our heart will direct us where we ought to go, never taking its eyes off the destination at hand.

The surging waves that envelope each waking decision are caught up in the turmoil of fear and confusion.  But never in such a time as this, will we be far from the Lens that determine our destiny, goals and successes.

Our times are in His hands no matter how far we stray. For His eternal promise is rested on the soul of our heart.

Are you, your biggest fear?

Oops! Did I just say that?

Throughout our lives we have had to deal with fear. How we deal with it is another whole ball game. Fear can become challenging, life draining and often times life threatening. It can also keep you stricken and cause you to lose good opportunities, relationships and marriage.

It can also cripple and paralyse you and may stop you from moving forward.  Guess what the biggest fear may be YOU!

Why do I say this?  We can rely on our instincts and emotions, but underneath we become fearful of ourself and our perception on how people view us.

Often in some circumstances, fear begins with a trauma or something trivalent on the background and surroundings of where we are at the time.

Five things we should use to False Evidence Appearing Real (F.EA.R) out of our lives for good:

1. Be conscientious of the fear that dictate how you are, who you are

2. Identify the specific fears that cause you not to move forward

3. Find out the thoughts and actions that determine where the fear started – the roots

4. Look at the ‘now’ season and what is lacking that you can identify

5. Putting your thought down on paper helps you to illuminate the fears that control you.

Finding solutions and ways that we can eliminate fear is up to you. The longer you ignore it the harder it will be for you to move forward  and enjoy.

Dealing With Rejection

We all can experience rejection some times or other in any area of our lives, regardless of maturity or stature. Rejection is not reliant to anyone, it will attack when you are in a vulnerable state, or even when ever you are on top of the world!  It is an emotional wound that may become a part of our lives; and it hurts.

Dealing with rejection is the first steps to your spiritual healing. When we’re going through difficulties and pain, we would often feel the sense of guilt. Guilt that would over-ride the truth that it is your fault.  Rejection does not care who you are and it will always be at the door just waiting to attack.

There are many element for rejection which can come in many dimension:

  1. Family relationships
  2. Friends
  3. Workplaces
  4. Marriages
  5. Church Environment
  6. Authorities
  7. Social Media

Many of these areas can have a huge impact on our lives which can be devastating when we are at our weakest.  Regardless how small or big, critical or longterm, you will find that rejection can only have the power over us if you allow it to control your lives and it can also leave us feeling paralysed.

Although rejection can come to us through different circumstances the tool that we can combat is first to love yourself and rebuild your self-esteem.  In order for us to deal with rejection is to forgive ourselves of past mistake and bad choices.

Believe that God loves you first when He sent His Son to die for you (John 3:16).

11 ways to heal from pain of rejection:

  1. Forgive yourself for the mistakes, bad choices; because it is not your fault things did not work out accordingly
  2. Know who you are
  3. Be true to yourself; you are unique and there is only one of you
  4. You are not replaceable
  5. Do not blame yourself for someone else’s fault
  6. Think positive
  7. Believe that God loves you unconditionally
  8. Forgive the perpetrator
  9. Accept you
  10. Love yourself
  11. Believe in yourself and know your values

Do not let rejection cause you not to try again, be it in love, career or relationships, no matter how hard it become.

We have His power and the tenacity to move forward and to receive our God-given assignment.

You can make it!

God Wants to Emancipate Us From Where We Are!

Have you ever felt trapped or restricted by the system?

Sometimes life allows us to feel like that and often times we get snowed down with wrong decisions and the consequences of those decisions.

God want to release us and set us free…  He does not look at our past nor where we came from, but looks at the condition of your heart.

There are times when God calls us to a calling and instead of being obedient, we start looking at our mess and the circumstances that we are facing.  We feel discouraged, broken and inflated because of our unworthiness to the calling.

No matter where you are at, God will bring you to that place that will change that situation for the good.

You see, in Exodus 2, Moses was taken out of the water as a baby and was placed in the system.  Pharaoh’s men were killed by water when the sea went back to its original position. Moses stretched out his rod across the sea and it parted enough for the people to walk through.

Fear had gripped Moses when God spoke to him through a burning bush, but he started thinking about the crime he committed and why he was running away.

God did not look at where he came from, where he was or where he was at, but He called him out, despite his circumstances.  When Moses was chosen to deliver the people out of bondage he said, “Who me..?”

God can call you out of your mess despite what people say about you.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” (Jeremiah 1:5).

God knew you long before you were conceived and no one should not tell you who you are. He has given us the freedom to use the gifts He has called us to do, according to His will. He gets the glory and the honour.

Fear can stop us from activating the gift or our calling. God wants us to be free to be His stewards and disciples. He wants us to imitate what He teaches us because He did not give us a Spirit of fear.

So, today you will not be a part of the system, you will not care what people think about you nor stop you from stepping out to where God has called you. Why?

Because everything in the Kingdom of God operates in faith!

Believe in Yourself

Pssst! Have you heard the recent news that believing in yourself may boost your self-worth and value?

It is a fundamental rule to have the utmost trust in ourselves in order to accomplish our dreams.  Often times, agendas or past opportunities steer us from believing that we can do this or that.  Periodically, our actions can often abet self-doubt and low esteem.

In our ever-growing society, self-esteem is one of the major problem that affect us on a daily basis.  We may have the tendency to wake up some mornings with self doubt, “Am I going to make it?” or “Am I good enough?”  Undoubtedly we begin to go down this negative spiral of hopelessness which sometimes affect our confidence and personal life.

Believing in yourself does not come overnight but begins with a process.  In order for this process to work, it is often a good idea to recite positive affirmation each day by repeating it all day until you actually believe it! Seek scriptural advice through the Word of God daily. He will direct your path.

Oscar Wilde once said, “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance”  and rightly so!

Today, take the first steps to believing that you can do all things; when  you believe in yourself the world will see you as you see yourself; awesome!

First, make a feel-good list about the things that you deem as bad and secondly, make a note of the good things that you are good at.  Secondly, forgive yourself of past mistakes. Learn from them. Allow yourself to be the person God created you to be.

Receiving compliments from people can be good medicine for the soul.  By listing at least ten, both negative and positive, you can focus on the positive attributes.

Today, is the day that the Lord has made and YOU shall rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

Treat today as a brand new day by believing in yourself and self-worth.

Life Goes On!

Life goes on whether you choose to move on or stay behind!  It is about dusting yourself off and keeping it moving. In other words, keeping it moving is the only way forward, despite the heartache, the pain and the calamities.

I found myself sitting in a coffee shop away from home, this week, just thinking about life. It dawned on me that in order for us to understand life, we have to adopt a positive attitude.

We may lose people along the way, and our circle of friends may change, but everything begins with a season. Season to grow, season to uproot, season to weep and a season to be at peace. People will come into our lives for a season and may leave when the season is not right. Although, we may learn the real life skills that teaches us how to be strong, how to love ourselves, how to know ourselves and how to grasp the methodology of what life is all about; life still goes on. When we think we suddenly gain the ideology to master life, a shift present itself, regardless of our status or maturity.

Life can be strange, don’t you think?

Everyday is a work in progress, where we take each waking moment  that God has given us, to assess or evaluate our shortcomings.  Life has a way of creeping up on us when we least expect it and, the only way that you can move on, is to take life by the throat and reach out for your destiny.

Your failures, accomplishment and goals are those which will steer you to where your destiny lies.  It is only when you tighten the grip on your longterm goals, you will find the path that leads to your happiness and your destiny.  Keeping a positive mindset is essential for us to stay focus.

Today, look destiny square in its face and say:  “I am coming for you, whether you like it or not!  I will accomplish my dreams, regardless how hard it may seem.”

The book of Philippians encourages us not to worry about nothing but for us to find our place on our face with God.

“Do not worry about anything; instead pray about everything” (Philippians 4:6).

Change how you think about yourself.  The skies your limit, reach for your destiny! Believe that you can make it.  The obstacle that you face is not greater than what is inside of you.  You are the product of what you choose to become. Believe in yourself!

God’s Divine Purpose

Have you ever wonder what it would be like not having a purpose, having no hope?  No hope of fulfillment?

Some years ago, I have often wondered about it.  Questions would always fill my mind,

“Why am I here?” or “What was the purpose of me being here?”

I remember, when I was not yet a Christian, I would often asked myself those questions. I did not feel as if there was any significant reason to be here; here today and gone tomorrow was my answer.  However, my life journey began to change my perspective on life and on the Creator.

It dawned on me, some years later, that I was actually here for a purpose and that God made it quite clear. He made us for His pleasure and He is worthy for our honour and praise.

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being” (Revelation 4:11)

Sometimes we feel discouraged and rejected by situations and circumstances that becomes our obstacle to move forward. The very obstacle that may come to rob us from the very blessing that God has promised us.

Last month, I went for a routine checkup and my morning turned out pretty stressful. To cut a long story short, I was, by God’s intervention, began talking to the doctor about our  purpose and faith.  He began to say that many people with little faith are worried about the unknown when they leave this world.

When my time was up, the doctor said that he would begin to practise his faith daily now and after.   I knew at that point there was a purpose for me to be there that afternoon, even though the day had turned out stressful.  I left him knowing that he had a purpose to live, a purpose to know that nothing is done before the time.

Our identity in Christ gives us the understanding of purpose, and His purpose calls us in a unique way.  God’s divine purpose, His love and His favour is what propel us to move closer to Him.

Every struggles that comes our way, comes with a purpose! Purpose that steers or move us to greatness that succeed the plan of God.  His purpose is not defined by our past nor is He limited to our lack of knowledge.

Pay attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you will not have the need to compare yourself to anyone else (Galatians 6:4)

When life itself begin to take its toil on us or our back is against the wall, we should only look up!  By looking up it will remind us that we are not far from God and His right hand is holding us up in times of trouble.

Guess what!  We all fall short of His glory sometimes, but the Good Shepherd will gently bring us, once again, back into line, because we are far from perfect.  But one thing for sure, everything that we may face will act as a test for us to challenge ourselves.

God in His infinite love knows exactly how much we can handle and He knows where, in terms of our destiny, where we need to grow in wisdom. So when we are tested we will, in the end, come out as pure gold if we  stay obedient (Job 23:10).

Another thing came to mind; a mobile phone. Imagine having a mobile still in its box; wrapper and all!   Not being used for the purpose intended;  just sitting in a box.  See, when we sum this up we can now look at this in a analytical sense.  If our purpose are not met and we are not going forward with God’s intention in mind, we will find ourselves stuck in the same box; wrapper and all.

No growth or knowledge cannot be sustainable in a closed box.  Once out of the box the full purpose of what your life was meant to be used for, will now be open to be used for His glory.

We have to also take God out of the box, in order to receive our blessings.  By taking God out of the box our purpose and our lack of knowledge will be strengthened according to His Word.

So, no matter what life throws at us today, we will, we shall, remain victorious and stand strong in Christ.  We serve a great God because He IS our strong Tower and many who run to it are saved.

Finishing Strong!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I pray that everyone had a good Christmas and that 2017 will be a year that finds you soaring high as an eagle!

There comes a time in our life when we all have to be accountable to many things that may affect us.  As much as we try to put them off, we still have to be aware of the environment and circumstances that we come in contact with.

An eagle soars above the storms when other birds seek refuge.  The eagle will fly high to avoid the coming storm that looms in the distant.

Finishing strong  means one thing only; finishing successfully with God in mind.  It is not in the plans of God that we finish halfway through our successes and our trials. However, in life’s journey we will combat or experience troubles and strife along the way that will try to knock us off the course.  But, hold on and you will finish strong; but soar!  Overcome the fears that beset us as we stay determine to finish.

Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come (2 Corinthians 5:17).

This brand new year we will turn over a new leaf and make a decision to build on real life decisions.  New commitments, with new challenges to ourselves, will be our goal this year!

A spirit cannot soar with only one wing (Tom Robbins)

For us to soar high, we have to remove the obstacle and clutter (baggages) from our lives so that we can soar as high as an eagle.

When we are in the storm of life, when the waves are tossing to and fro, may this New Year 2017 help us to soar as an eagle above our circumstances.

The race is not for the swift but for those who can endure to the end! (Ecclesiastic 9:11).

Its Only a Test!

I believe that every struggles that we face, comes with a purpose.  Purpose that steers us to move towards our greatness!  God’s purpose is not limited to our past. When life gets us down, and I’m sure it sometimes does, and our back is against the wall; look up!

We all fall short sometime, but guess what?  God gently brings us, once again, back in line because we are far from perfect.  Similar to a sheep that has strayed.  Everything that we go through is a test and God knows how much we can handle.  He never gives us more than we can bear.   He knows our destiny, so when we are tested we will come out as pure gold (Job 23:10).  We will remain victorious through adversity.

No weapon formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rise up against us in judgement they shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).  For His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are our ways His ways (Isaiah 55:8).  But every word that comes from God’s mouth will not return void, but will accomplish that pleases Him by preparing the things that He has sent (Isaiah 55:11).

We are again encouraged to pray without ceasing and to rejoice always by giving thanks in all circumstances, because this is what is required from us (1 Thessalonian 5:16-18).

When the feeling of worry, fear and discouragement comes, we are to turn our thoughts into prayer and thanksgiving. In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving we should make our request known to God (Phillippians 4:6).

When we love ourselves, we will see a difference of change in the areas of our lives as well as our prayers. When our situation gets us down, God is up to something because He knows the plans that He has for us. Plans to prosper us and not to harm us and also plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
